Private Practice Consultation and

Mentorship for Therapists

After more than a decade in private practice, I, Dr. Emma Basch am thrilled to offer consultation and mentorship for other therapists. Whether you are brand new to private practice, want to expand into a group practice, or need some help restructuring your practice to better meet your needs, I’m here to help.

Consultations with Me

After a Decade in Private Practice, Here's What I Know

I learned absolutely nothing about running a practice in grad school (does anyone??). In my years running two small solo practices and now building and growing a group practice, I’ve seen it all, made many mistakes, and have learned a ton along the way. Perhaps most surprising to me was how much I love the business end of running a practice. Networking, business development, marketing, SEO, spreadsheets- all of it. More than that, I’ve learned that I love nothing more than helping other therapists build the practice of their dreams.

There's No One Way to Build a

Thriving Therapy Practice

I've seen so many gimmicks, programs, and packages offering bad advice and false promises. There is no one "secret" to growing your practice; there is no one answer or right way. I’ve seen many colleagues and friends spend thousands of dollars investing in programs or guides, when what they really needed was solid advice and a little bit of confidence.

Here's where I come in

Whether you are just starting out in business, expanding, or trying to reshape your practice to better fit your life, I offer expert guidance, mentorship, support, and creative ideas to get you where you want to be. I especially love working with moms who are building their practices while juggling all the things (trust me, I've been there).

  • Whether to accept insurance

  • Where to invest in your business and get the most bang for your buck

  • How to structure your schedule to maximize your earnings and time

  • Addressing emotional barriers that make it hard to set your fee or market yourself

  • How to build a group practice

  • Navigating parental leave while in private practice
